I think everyone knows about this technology in theoritical now in this i m gonna show u practical implementation of this techonology in day 2 day life.
lets start wid some introduction of this:
LightScribe is an optical disc recording technology that uses specially coated recordable CD and DVD media to produce laser-etched labels with text or graphics, as opposed to stick-on labels and printable discs.The purpose of LightScribe is to allow users to create direct-to-disc labels (as opposed to stick-on labels), using their optical disc writer. Special discs and a compatible disc writer are required.
LightScribe was evaluated by Hewlett-Packard engineer Daryl Anderson and brought to market through the joint design efforts of HP's imaging and optical storage divisions in 2004. Anderson is no longer actively associated with Lightscribe.
Now not going to so much practical details about lightScribe lets talk about my purpose to write this blog
today mainly every laptop comes with this techonology of lightScribe in DVD writers. i m also keep hearing from my colleagues that u can also make ur own label CDs/DVDs through this techonolgy so i decided to make one .so especially for this i went to chennai (3 hrs from my location) to buy a lightscribe DVD oh sorry i forget to mention that for this labelling we require a special DVD called as lightScribe u can find it at any computer shop well i got a DVD from imation brand though it costs (Rs. 100) .after this we need a labelling software mainly u can go for acoustica CD label marker don't go for its name it works well for DVD too n its works very fine.now after this u need a image mainly labelling is in sepia (black n white with some yellow version)mode.now i m gonna show my image n label DVD

u can see in the image version the text color is blue but in label it is in black n white version means u can label in only black n white version. colour version is under progress from the manufacturer.
now dats cool u can gift to ur girlfriend with ur unique photos labelled or in ur tour CD u can label ur tour photo now thats cool na.......
